EOS Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) builds parts layer by layer according to CAD digital model data, and the finished product has a smooth surface with no visible signs of lamination. The product looks seamless-no different from traditional goldsmiths. However, unlike traditional goldsmith production, additive manufacturing can greatly reduce the amount of material required. Thus, a product having a specific hollow cavity shape can be produced more simply, more economically, and more efficiently.
